Padma Bank PLC. celebrated International Women’s Day Sunday, 8th March, 2026 at its Gulshan Corporate Head Office, reinforcing its commitment to a safe and equitable workplace.
Under the theme, "Today's Action for Tomorrow's Justice, Let the Rights of Women and Girls be Protected," the bank honored its female workforce with floral tributes and a series of high-level policy announcements.
The event was graced by, Chief Executive Officer Kazi Md. Talha (Current Charge), as the Chief Guest. Addressing female colleagues from various branches and the Head Office, Mr. Talha emphasized the bank’s uncompromising stance on employee dignity.
"We maintain a policy of zero tolerance toward any unsolicited comments or unwanted behavior directed at our female staff," stated Mr. Talha. "To ensure a secure environment, I am directing the immediate launch of a dedicated hotline and email address for reporting grievances. Any female employee can report concerns directly to the Managing Director or Deputy Managing Director with the absolute assurance of anonymity and swift resolution."
Dr. Mohammed Emtiaz Uddin, DMD and CAMLCO of the bank engaged in an exchange of views with female colleagues at the event. He delivered a speech greeting everyone present on the occasion of “International Women's Day."
During the interactive session, female employees shared personal stories of resilience and success. They expressed their gratitude toward the senior management for fostering a supportive culture that helps them navigate the unique challenges of the banking industry.
The ceremony was attended by senior leadership, including Hosne Ara Akter (Chief Legal Officer), ASM Asadul Islam (Company Secretary), and other high-ranking officials.
