Padma Bank

The signing was held at Padma Bank's office in Gulshan 2, Dhaka on Monday. Under the agreement, Padma Bank cardholders and Padma Bank employees shall be honored with an attractive discount of up to 60% on room rack rates and a special discount of 15% on food and beverage at Innotel, Dhaka.
 

Mir Shafiqul Islam, Head of Retail Banking,  Padma Bank and Imam Uddin Ahmed, General Manager, Innotel Dhaka signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations.  Sharif Moinul Hossain, Chief Human Resources Officer, Md. Mosharraf Hossain Khan, Chief IT Officer and Nafisa Ara, Head of Segments were present during the signing representing the Bank.

The foundational training program for the first batch of Padma Bank Management Trainee Officers (MTO) has begun on recently at the Bangladesh Institute of Bank Management (BIBM). 23 Management Trainee Officers from Padma Bank have taken part in this 20 days training program. Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman, Director General, BIBM, and Tarek Reaz Khan, Managing Director and CEO of Padma Bank, officially inaugurated the course.

Padma Bank Limited has officially launched Shariah-based Islami banking named "Padma Bank Islamic" with the slogan "Shariah in Every Step". Gulshan-2 branch, Agrabad branch, Comilla branch, Bogura branch, and Chandnighat branch started Islamic banking window simultaneously. However, due to centralized transactions, customers will get Islamic banking services from any Branch or Sub-branch in the country.

At this event, Padma Bank's Kakrail Branch Manager & Vice President, Mr. Mohammad Jahangir Alam and other senior officials of the Ministry of Education were presented.

Muhammed Ali, a professional banker with 38+ years of rewarding multi-dimensional experience in banking and other fields of management, recently has joined as advisor of Padma Bank Limited. Prior, Advisor of the Premier Bank, he was the Managing Director & CEO of UCB. He was also the Managing Director of Social Islami Bank and before that he was the Managing Director of Shahjalal Islami Bank. Exploring the merit, Mr. Ali started his career with Sonali Bank as a probationary officer in 1977. He capitalized the opportunities to work with many other banks like, National Bank, National Credit Ltd (subsequently emerged as NCC bank), Standard Bank, Shahjalal Islami Bank and Social Islami Bank. Throughout his career Ali has held different senior management positions in the arena of Foreign Exchange, International Division, General Banking Operations including commendable exposure in branch banking and financial administration. It is worth mentioning that Mr. Ali demonstrated his capabilities to work as the Head of Credit, Head of Treasury, Head of International Division and Head of Human Resources Division in few of the banks he worked. He also received multiple awards and gold medals including Helen Keller Research Foundation Award- 2008 & 2009, Atish Dipankar Gold Medal-2007, Mother Teresa Gold Medal-2017. Global Finance magazine Accredited him as the CEO of the year for the South Asia Region in 2014. Mr. Muhammed Ali has received numerous overseas trainings including Executive Program in Corporate Governance and Strategic Management from UC Berkley Center for Executive Education and Leadership Program from Columbia Business School etc.
